Ray Alder, nome d’arte di Ray Valderrama, un cantante statunitense, voce della band progressive-metal Fates Warning dal 1987 fino ad oggi. Il primo disco registrato con essi è “No Exit“.
Ha inoltre registrato due album “Engine” nel 1999 e “Superholic” nel 2002 con gli Engine.
Talvolta presta la propria gola ai Redemption in album come “The Origins of Ruin”, “The Fullness of Timee Snowfall on Judgment Day“, oltre ad essere il produttore del primo omonimo album che ha visto la luce nel 2002. Ha lavorato con una band underground di nome Necro producendo il loro lavoro “Death Rap“. Ray Alder accompagnò anche James LaBrie durante un concerto dei Dream Theater a Los Angeles il 18 maggio 1998.
